REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeers grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

Female reindeers retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known...

ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

It is time to start baking for the holidays.

This is the BEST Christmas Cookie recipe EVER!

• 1 cup of water
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 cup of sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup of brown sugar
• Lemon juice
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup nuts
• 2 cups of dried fruit
• 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila (important!)

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Pick the frigging fruit off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets struck in the bleaterers just pry it loose with adrewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cklups of salt, or something. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or something else - whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to bean off the turner. Finally, place bowl in the recyle bin, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put stove in dishwasher.

After decades of being hit in the head by Peter Townshend's erracic windmill guitar stage antics, 62 year old Roger Daulrey apparently had enough - after landing a swift kick in Peters Pooter, Roger used his own well known signature stage trick to wack his guitarist with his expert microphone lariate swing, removing all doubt to how the other who members really died.

Well, today is Monday - getting ready to tavel to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to train the fine folks at Harper Collins on how to use the ELAN Book Scanning Solution they just bought from our Parners at Xerox. Leaving Wednesday, back Saturday.

Today I purchased Harvest Moon - Another Wonderful Life - a video game for Nintendo Game Cube. As I feel I do a pretty good job at taking good care of our family, I am sure I would be expert at any video that tests such skills - but I did not buy this for ME.

I jumped at the chance to puchase this game for Angela and Nicole, as this game actually requires you to do CHORES to WIN !

LOL !!!

Basically, it is about a girl raising crops and tending animals - you know, doing the things that are essential to fiscal success in present day Simi Valley, California. To win, you need to cultivate crops, develop and nurture friendships, and take good care of your family in order to have a successful Harvest life experience. Who knew they wanted to move to a farm, be nice and find a husband ?

Now, if there were points for "waking up" and "cleaning room" and they actually LEARNED how to do this by plaing this game - well, I would invest all my funds in Natsume Inc, the company that publishes this game!

Joan and I went to the Dodgers game last night - Joan scored some free tickets from her boss, and it was "Dodger Dogs" for dinner !

My friend A took some nice pictures of us while at a barbecue at her and her husbands business locations - LA Coffee at the Venice, CA location which also serves as the World Wide Headquarters for Java Juice - and sent them to me for my birthday!

This was the card she sent the pictures in!

Well, it was my birthday yesterday - 51 years old .

My Wife Joan surprised me with tickets to the
LA JAZZ FESTIVAL at the Greek Theater about 1/2 hour from where we live...

I think we were the only white people there besides a few musicians and security staff, but it was an amazing show - everyone stood and danced - between shows it was OLD SCHOOL DJ time - this was as much fun as the actual show !

-- as it was more 'our age' old school was the type of music i owned in College - Ohio Players, P-Funk...
Will Downing - like a lou rawls amazing low voice..

Kem - like Al Jarreau - really amazing.

And, is was a warm breezy evening - and I scored a sweet (close) parking spot!

Click on images to enlarge -- We have the upstairs common bathroom toilet turned off - somehow it must have sprung a slow leak and it leaked through to the downstairs bathroom overnight last night - I turned off the toilet bowl water, and it stopped - so, it is not getting worse - we have two other working bathrooms, so we are not in crisis mode.

The ceiling in the downstairs bathroom paint blistered, as it was full of about 1 gallon of water before it ripped and then poured - all the water is all wipped up, but like I said

1. upstairs bathroom toilet is leaking (water is turned off for now, so issue is stopped - we are okay until Monday if required

2. downstairs bathroom ceiling is damaged.

Well, it is July 3rd - a nice sunny day - went for a walk at the duck park at - trying to shed my winder coat - off to Vince Brantleys party at 3:00 in Hollyweird.

Then it was into the living room to open a million gifts (okay, most of them were weird socks) but a few useful gifts like moola, thumbdrives and iTunes cards were appreciated!

After a festive meal-ish visit to the Mac-a-tony Grilla-monster it was back to 3087 Sleepy Hollow for ice cream cake and blue drink in blue cups.
